I'm trying to create a source of free, high-quality tax information. Not just for international students, but for all students and scholars in the United States. I read over three hundred pages of official IRS Publications. I have reviewed everything the shortest Tax Topic, to professional articles from the Internal Revenue Bulletin. But I can't finish my goal alone.
Do you believe passionately in empowering students and scholars with the information to file their own taxes? To save your friends and classmates hundreds of dollars of fees paid to tax software firms? Then volunteer your time and skills for the College Tax Guide!
Skills Needed
You don't have to be a tax professional (but if you are, please reach out). No matter your major or field of study, I can use your help:
- Art, Design and Illustration Students: Flowcharts are great, but it would be nice to have some beautiful cover images for each of these tax guides. Help make illustrations and infographics!
- Computer Science Students: I'm looking for a front-end software developer to help improve the website. This way, I can spend more time writing tax guides, and less time writing JavaScript.
- Communications Majors: Wanna get some excellent volunteer experience to list on your CV? Help me manage my social media presence! I have accounts on Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, and Facebook, and no time to manage them whatsoever.
- Philosophy and Language Majors: It would be lovely to have someone proof-read and edit my writing. Sometimes I the word here or there.
- Finance, Accounting, MBA & Law School: This is your time to shine. If you are experienced in tax law, you can be a content reviewer, and help me write additional guides.
This Will Look Great on Your CV
The College Tax Guide is entirely run by students, for students. Any contributions you make will be acknowledged and can be an impressive addition to your CV. Interested in volunteering your time and your skills? Reach out to me at contact@collegetaxguide.org
